2020 pay negotiations

We concluded our final 2020 pay negotiations with Wilko on Monday 29th June.


In April this year,  any team member whose pay was below the National Living Wage, received an automatic increase. This was an average increase of 5.2% for the majority in this category.


In addition (subject to ballot), GMB have secured the offer of a back dated 2% pay increase for all those who didn’t receive a pay increase in April – Level 2 and above non-exec team members in Retail, Logistics and all non-executive team members in the Support Centre.


The 2020 pay offer discussions included a confirmation from Wilko on a £150 thank you payment for staff working through the Covid crisis.


We are working on agreement of the final wording for the ballot which should be with you along with a ballot paper before the end of the week.


Expected Ballot Process –


  • Ballot begins Monday 6th July


  • Ballot ends Wednesday the 22nd July. (results have to be with the company by the 24th July to hit the pay run for August).


  • Providing we have agreement, backdated pay and increase received Friday the 14th August.
